Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra

Musicians from the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra explore the connection between sound and science. Using simple items like a tuning fork, slinky, and beaker of water they will do hands on demonstrations, computer animations and a live music show to illustrate why music to your ears is also music to your brain.

Betty Braunstein on the flute and Steve Highland, violinist, will entertain the audience while showing how the flute and violin make music.

This project was funded with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008 which dedicated funding to preserve Minnesota's arts and cultural heritage.
